Knipiphany

I just had a knipiphany. You know, where you have an epiphany about knitting. And I think it has changed my life. I'm actually kind of freaking out about it, but quietly, 'cause dad's doing homework.

See, I knew that you could make alterations to an existing pattern.
And I knew that you could make big changes to an existing pattern, say, even combine two patterns together for the perfect cuff-hand relationship for a given task. (Try making really warm handwarmers for a violinist who doesn't want bulk by the palm.)
I even knew that you could invent, nay, design your own patterns for your own purposes.
And I did know this next step. But it just dawned on me.

You can dye your own yarn. You can make make your own yarn. You can imagine a final product, design the pattern, make the perfect yarn, dye it the perfect color, and make the perfect thing. All you! You you you! And if you make your own sheep, it's ALL all you! Or I supposed you could grow your own cotton... easier to do in college than sheep herding. But still...

... I need a sheep.
