Behold, the final product. First, the short piece, the one I painted first, and learned how thick not to put the paint on:

It's hard to see how they really look, since the camera flashed, and the whole point is to have the light behind the stained glass.



Ah, well, you get the idea. Custom lighting shades, courtesy of daughter. (We used the velcro-like picture hanging command strips to hang them.)
