long day and getting longer

First... I tried to bike to PS's house for the tailgate party before the football game (this is a yearly church thing that this church does). Really, I took my bike on a walk, because apparently I forgot that That Hill is really, really, really long and tall.

Then, once I got there, we had food, and then we walked over to the football game.

Then the children decided I'm fun to play with. Which included taking them for their second trip to the bouncy things, which also included one child just going into tears and "I want to go hoooommmmeeee!!!" Before I had taken them down, PS said she'd be watching, and to make a signal (my hand out from my forehead, I believe) if I "felt stupid and needed help." I said, "What do I do if I feel smart but need help?" So, once we're there, child starts crying, I try to talk to him, find out what's wrong, etc, and finally look up to the stands, put my hands in the air, then make the "I'm stupid, help me" signal. I couldn't see our group, but then I saw PS moving (quickly) down out of the stands. She get there, gets the kid calmed down, all is well. (Hint: child is also PS's grandkid.)

Then, after the game is done and we have lost, we walk back. Two kids (PS's grandkids) and I play ball in the front yard. I'm not allowed to sit down, but also never given a turn with the ball. Okay, I can rest standing up. Then there's tea, there's chocolate, there's rain, there's running an errand, back to the house, putting the bike in PS's car, and back home...

... where my sermon, council report, and lesson for adult Sunday School are all waiting expectantly for me to finish them.
