I'm very sorry, but I made all the delicious foods recently. I'm sorry if this means that you have no delicious foods.
Yesterday, I made bean dip. Instead of two cans of black beans, I did one of black and one of garbanzo. Garbanzo beans roll when they fall out of the pita. And I have, unfortunately, very flimsy pitas. (Pitae? Pitai? Pitaim?) But still... delicious. And enough protein to get me through the afternoon. Although I did hit the 1:30 exhaustion wall, but I got through it. :P
For dinner, I wanted a family classic with a lengthy name: bow-ties, broccoli, chicken alfredo. Only, I didn't have bow-ties, so I used rotinis. (Rotinii?) And I didn't have alfredo, so I found a recipe calling for half&half (usually it's heavy cream, or half&half and whole milk, but I only had half&half, but it's less fat that way), and made it. I put the precooked chicken in the alfredo after it was done, to heat the chicken, microwaved some frozen broccoli, and stirred it all together. It made enough to have a serving of leftovers.
I love being a grown-up. But I am sorry for cooking all of the delicious food.
