You won't be surprised, will you, that, since I had to download the Kindle edition of the book of the previous post in order to find the quote, that I then began to read it?
And you won't be surprised at all, I imagine, that I didn't stop, except once to make tea and once to answer the phone?
Two thoughts occur to me:
1. Now I know where I get my letter-writing style.
2. It's just not fair to guys these days, for girls these days to have been brought up on such books as Daddy Long Legs, Jane Eyre, and so on.
