I promise to blog about Wilmington (it was fabulous) and all sorts of other things, but I want to wait until my mom gets back from vacation so I don't tell her stuff only to have her say, "oh, yes, I read that on your blog..." and finish the story for me. :)
eSATA is a fancy-pants kind of port that's sort of like USB 2.o, only cooler, faster, and such. In researching eSATA (my potential new computer's gonna have said port, and I wanted to make sure it wasn't some sort of secret Dalek invasion technique), I ran across an article explaining that USB 3.0, due in January 2010, is going to "crush" eSATA. It's faster and blah blah. Whatever. The confusion is where the article said "USB 3.0 is also full duplex, meaning it can upload and download simultaneously (it's bi-directional); USB 2.0 is only half duplex."
Now, if you're half duplex, doesn't that make you monoplex, or just plex? There's no DU- if you've only got half the amount of plex being doubled. Half of double is single.
Right?

Plex. (snort)
I love it.
And I am quite fond of your brain and its thoughts.
