Panda's Cure for the Common (EEEEEEvil) Cold

I went to bed last night with a killer headache, and a throat that refused to swallow without immense pain. I was certain that if I coughed, all the blood vessels in my head would esplode.

This morning, I was dizzy, nauseaus if I stood up for too long (aka more than 30 seconds), my throat still refused to swallow, I could barely move without being in pain (so sore!), and the headache was still present. I went to class. Then chapel, then M&W meeting, then lunch.
At lunch, I began treatment.

Step 1: Vanilla ice cream (softened slightly) before eating main meal. This cools the throat and ensures easier swallowing of other foods.
Step 2: Sprite (or any other clear carbonated soda) and/or tea.
Step 3: Do eat real food. I had pasta, for it's easy-to-swallow-ibility.
Step 4: Nap. This is essential. Even after lunch, you may begin to feel quite better. But nap anyway. I had moved my voice lesson and told Dr Pf that I couldn't accompany, so the only thing left that afternoon was band. I set my alarm with plenty of time to email band council if I wasn't going to be able to go, and slept.

I did end up going to band, even though it was really hard to play, it was still important to be there. At dinner, I did the same steps, with the ice cream and Sprite.

I do love my immune system, though. Despite the fact that I'm pretty sure I have a hear infection (I can't hear), my colds usually last 3 days at the maximum. I'm already starting to leak from the nose, so tomorrow should be nose day, then Wednesday things should be just fine, or just about just fine.

As long as the hear infection goes away.

NAP!
