come on, Jaffy, we're moving to Australia

I've had a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day.

First, I had to get up an hour and a half earlier than usual and my first class was an hour and a half later than usual. I had to get up early for a music and worship committee meeting, which didn’t go so well. I mean, we got the music and worship stuff planned, but Homecoming just isn’t going to be a very smooth worship service this year, I think. At least, people are going to come away hurt. We might not do “Christ Goes Before.” (Before you shout “tradition!” at me, shut up and deal.)

Then in conducting my trombone slide was sticking and we got even further behind.

I got two packages. That was fun. Ink from Dell, and pumpkin truffles of amazingness from my mom.

Then there was organ seminar which didn’t go so well, and then I rushed back to my room to get ready for German. (We’ve missed lunch by this point, folks.)

I didn’t get ready for German. I ended up running around my room trying to get stuff cleaned up for my roommates to get back this evening. And discovered that my new awesome lovely laptop bag that my mom bought for me this summer has a huge gaping hole in it and I can’t fix it. Then I tripped while rushing over to my desk and fell on the floor and cursed very loudly and started crying.

Then I had to go back over to the FAC before German (I had an hour to do all this between seminar finishing and German starting) to get my advisor to sign one more drop/add card, and ran into my voice professor for a few moments, and ended up with a sort-of-job-type-thing on Sunday mornings, when I don’t have to be at Chapel. Which is cool, ‘cause I’m excited to get away from “normal Lutheran worship,” but I’m also having to go from having to be at the chapel for worship to start at 10:30, to being picked up to go to this place at 8:40. Ah! But I do get free real lunch, made by a real person, in a real kitchen, in a real house. Sweet! It’s totally worth it.

Wow, I’ve been a bit wordy in the posting lately, haven’t I?

Oh! And in case you were wondering where my bad day went? My favorite jeans are mere threads away from developing irreparable, badly located holes, dinner tonight was enchiladas (yuck), I have to do laundry, I haven’t practiced yet tonight, and I’m already ready to just give in and go to bed.

Oh, and did I mention the insane amounts of rain that we have been subject to here? I’m moving to Australia.
