The cell phone of wonder, my darling communication device, has left this earthly realm for better things.
I have managed to get all the data off it that is possible. The touchscreen is what's gone.
The question is, how do I turn technobabble into contacts info?
It's a PalmPre Plus, running webOS, and I believe at one point there was a developer app thing...
I really, really, really need/want/need those contacts.
Any brilliance from the readers?
PS: I am also taking input on my new phone decision. I'm going to wait until January 4th, when I'm up for renewal pricing, so there's some time.
PPS: There's totally fudge of your choice (mint, plain, nutty, toffee, etc) in it for the person who recovers the contacts.

I had a Palm for a long time. It was a TX, so it was the gen before WebOS. However, I believe they worked similarly with WebOS. Did you sync to your computer? I know I did with my Palm which meant when I switched to an Android phone, it was a very simple process to export my contacts.
Because I switched to a droid, I loaded them into Gmail. But it would have been possible to load them into other applications.
Part of it will depend on what you decide on for your new phone. That can make a difference on what is easiest.

When you say you got the data off, into what? If you have a .dat file on your computer, or the Palm Desktop (or whatever they named its wOS counterpart) then you can import it into gmail, or outlook, or itunes if you're getting an iThing.
