I can see!

I have new glasses.

I have a pair of reading glasses (the black and purple ones, modeled in the middle two pictures), and a pair of distance glasses (the silvery ones with a blue dot on each side, modeled in the first and last pictures).

I do even have a way of stacking the two together to form a panda-licious bifocal, for when I'm on my computer and watching TV. I do not do this in class, although it would probably help the knitting.

I did not love the distance ones when I got them. I was freaked by how they changed the way my face looks. I'm getting use to them. I'm still not in love, but I'm no longer so angsty about it. I may love them tomorrow. Yes, I'm pretty sure I will, actually.

I do love the black and purple ones. Mom isn't as excited about them, but I think they're funky and cool. But they slide down my nose (the glasses adjuster guy and I agreed that he should leave the earpieces looser, so I can slide them down to look over them, so they slide on purpose, but they have no nose grippers, so they are quite slidey), so they wouldn't really be good for all-the-time-wear anyway. I am a bit concerned that the prescription might not be right in the reading glasses. Fortunately, ForEyes has a 90 Day "Did your prescription change?" dealio, where if your prescription changes in the first 90 days, they'll replaces the lenses for free. So I have a while yet to decide if I need to have Dr You'reWonderful double-check the reading.

The distance ones slide down my nose as well (as you can obviously see in the pictures), but that can be fixed by adjusting the nose grippers.

That's all for now. Knitting pictures and blogging coming probably tomorrow at some point. (That's pictures and blogging about knitting, not actual pictures being knit.) Don't forget you can click on the pictures to see the larger versions.

And many thanks to the beautiful model.
