I should not have done that

I think that I have done what I should not have done.

I had some extra time is all. Well, not really extra time. More like, I had the usual amount of time and found myself taking some of that time to relax and go a-internetin' and, well, one thing led to another, and I remembered that I had downloaded Kindle for PC when I first got this computer, and so I stopped by the site to see what the free ebook selection looked like.

And then I thought, well, this one isn't too long, so I'll read it in little bits between my homeworking. Heh. Right.

Note: If you read The Secret Garden in the falling leaf time of Ocvember, don't be confused when you go outside and it isn't spring.

I can't stop clicking "next page." I have all these books. It's like, now that I have no time to read nonschool books, I have this crazy desire to read ALL THE BOOKS.

Now, there is some legitimacy. Of course I had to pick most of the fairy tale collections, because the children I babysit know all the ones I know because they've been movie-ified. So of course the various Welsh, English, American, and Norse stories for children had to be downloaded. And then one simply cannot ignore the colorfairy books as a good source of reference for bedtime stories. (Although of course the actual books would be much more suited for actually reading to a child.)

And then the notebooks of DaVinci, of course. Then swiftly followed The Velveteen Rabbit, because I'm willing to bet that's the only possible format of that book I have that my twin doesn't. And then Faust and Dracula and... oh dear.

I should not have done that.

I should really stop doing this.

Maybe I'll just browse... one page more... after the next one, of course.

NOPE! Guess what the first Kindle book I downloaded to my iPod touch was? That's right, The Velveteen Rabbit.
