So there's these two groups of people and they're going to get together and have a big meeting. And the one group is going to talk to the other group about some stuff they want to get done, and the other group is going to talk about what they can get done, and it's going to be a big lot of talking. So they'll get thirsty.
And they're international groups, so they're going to need translator headsets to be moved around the room as different people give presentations and so on.
So I and some others in a group I'm involved in on campus (as well as others from the national organization of this campus group) are going to be runners: taking messages, bringing coffee, carrying headsets, and so on.
Oh, you want to know what the groups are? Will it help if I say I'll be in NYC?
The World Council of Churches and, that's right, the UN.
I'm going to be a fly on the wall of a week long conference (I'll only be there Wednesday night and Thursday day) between the WCC and the UN. A fly on the wall that brings coffee.
(Note: this is a little tentative right now, as all the details haven't been worked out, but I'm pretty excited and thought I'd share.)
