Dear my family, (Read: Dear the boys in my immediate family,)
Y'all rock.
-Me
For the rest of y'all, here's why they rock:
My dad is awesome. Not only did he once bring a butterfly back to life (true story!), but this weekend, when I said, "All I need is a pink ribbon to tie in [a hat]," he handed me one.
I have no idea where the pink ribbon came from, but it was not only the perfect width, but the perfect length.
My dad teaches me how to put down flooring, and use power tools, and cook stuff, and how to think critically for myself about all manner of issues. He cookes the best food ever, takes care of us, and can do all manner of braiding and other hair-based art.
My brother is also awesome. Case in point: we just had a brief skype text chat, where every line started with a '. Not just a ', but a ' word. (Example: 'ello, or 'tis.) Every line. Both of us. Unprompted. We didn't talk about it. It just happened.
Also, he's on his way to knowing everything about everything, which is super cool. Because he's really smart and really will learn everything about everything and then someone will just hire him to be a professional him and he'll be fabulous at it 'cause that's what he does best.
And he's super protective in a non-creepy way that means he loves me but isn't going to randomly beat someone up for real for making me cry when even puppy dog commercials will make me cry. (Unless he tries to beat up the puppy dog commercial, which would hurt, what with the TV screen and all...)
Alright, done with the gushing, back to work.
