Ladies and gentlemen, we have a problem. Not a big problem, but a problem.
I have only dpns. You can't knit a shawl, skirt, sweater, bag, giant stuffed antelope, or any other large pattern with only dpns. Dpns make small things. I'm tired of small things. I'm tired of fingerless mittens. (No, that didn't stop me from inventing a pattern during class today because I had yarn and needles but no pattern so I invented an elephant, a music note bookmark, and a new fingerless mitt pattern for my mom but still...)
Oh, and there's a new yarn store in the town to the south (about 20 minutes) but I have no car.
Oh, and Walmart here is getting rid of their crafts, so no needles any more, even if I did have a car to get there.
And I also have no fluff with which to stuff things.
It's been a rough day.
Oh! And!!!!!!!! I HAVE A SWEEEEEEET NEW BOOK!!!!!!!! But I won't let myself read it until the weekend... as soon as work is over tonight, I'm reading my new book. So excited, so excited. Of course, really, I ought to read all the ones in the series up to this one, to remember... but a) two of them got flooded this past summer, and b) one of them is lent out, and c) I'm not waiting, and d)I have them all memorized already anyway. :D

There's a partial bag of fluff here with your name on it. Probably some straight needles too.
And I'm planning on calling you at intervals all evening for long chats to make up for all the times you interrupted me at the good part of a book when you were small.
ten, when you call her, to make it authentic, you have to ask her small-Panda-type questions.
What sort of things did she interrupt you with when she was small?
