Sick Duck

My (mom's) car's name is Duckie.

Yesterday, Duckie and I, whilst, traveling from the airport to Hobby Lobby and Walmart for some last-minute, pre-break shopping/knitting stocking up, were unable to stop in time to avoid collision with the pick-up in front of us.

BOOM!

Then, the car behind us found himself in the same situation.

BABOOM!, rotate, stop, scream.

Airbags deployed, asthma freaked, door wouldn't open, throat closed up, driver of car behind me opened the passenger side to get some of the air cleared, they got me out. I'm fine (although my lungs would like to mention their objections to airbag innerds), although massive sore and exhausted, and I still can't quite take as full a breath in as I would like. The insurance thing has been a nightmare, and to top it all off, I was supposed to be in Minneapolis for an interview this morning at 10, then I was going to pick my parents up from the airport. I've made it to Rochester, and the lovely, wonderful, life-saving Lydia will be picking me up this afternoon and getting me to the cities, and from there... well, I'm not really sure. I haven't gotten my stuff out of my car yet, so if they declare it totaled I might be in a situation, but they may not be able to release it for repair until I sign something, which will be difficult since I'm not there. (Mom's working on a fax solution.)

Prayers in all this would be apreciated, especially as I still have papers to turn in, and an interview to schedule.

Also, I had a hot chocolate in the car with me, which ended up all over everything, including my cell phone. It's useable, but hard to hear from, and will probably need replacing. Word of advice, don't have hot chocolate wih you if you're going to get in an accident.
