I. Hate. Packing.
There's a reason I leave it all until mom comes to help me at the end of the year. I hate it. I hate it I hate it I hate it.
And I hate it even more right now b/c it would be so much easier to just freaking pack two checked bags for the flight. I'm taking Tabitha on the flight with me so I don't want to have anything to deal with besides her and my orange lego bag. But nooo... either my checked bag's going to be too heavy or I'm going to have to split it into two bags. I'm currently checking to see which would be more expensive.
Of course, I don't even know if I'll be able to take Tabitha with me on the flight, but we'll see.
Oh. Wow. Stupid freaking airlines. For NWA, any travel after Aug 28, first bag $15, second $25. Currently it's first bag free, second $25, which is what I'm giving up and going with.
Stupid freaking airlines.
I know, it's not that bad. But for a college student who's about to be a grad school student, who has yet to actually secure a job for the fall, who's gonna hafta buy gas for an internship and who would also like to be able to eat once in awhile (grad school)... $15 is, like, a week's worth of breakfasts!
It's okay, though. Because in 43 hours and 19 minutes... I'll be inside the blue line and life will be dandy. Even if it is raining.

"The rain is over, let's go out and play!" It is just barely 60 degrees. Bringing your knitting to keep warm is an excellent idea.
And I'm very proud of you for getting all packed up on your own. You've heard me say I'd still be in Germany if your dad hadn't come around to help me pack, right?
See you soon, inside the blue line!
You have my sympathies!
When I was flying out to AZ for my last work conference, I was 5 pounds over for the suitcase I had. They said it would be $50!! For 5 pounds! Luckily, I was able to shift some items to my carry on bag and got home without the additional cost. But, boy, it is not fun arriving at the airport and finding out they want yet more money from you.
Good luck getting home. Hope to see you for your pitstop on the 15th.
