Some notes about yarn.
I recently realized something about my mom's stash. All my life I've lived with the assumption that her whole stash was in the arts & crafts closet. I mean, I knew about the dresser in the study with the unfinished sweaters and projects... but knowing it doesn't mean that it seeped into my conciousness. But then I realized that she has more yarn than that. So me just raiding the a&c closet for yarn means I was missing out on all sorts of yarny opportunities. Although, I do realize that all that yarn is slotted for certain projects, so I do check with mom first.
Speaking of opportunities. Mike and I figured out how knitting is like murder. With murder, you must have motive, means, and opportunity. With knitting, you must have pattern (motive), needles (means), and yarn (opportunity). Makes perfect sense!
Speaking of yarn. I tried to knit with this sweeet wool my mom got me. And had to pull on it a little bit. And it pulled straight apart. It's not really yarn, is it? It's roving, isn't it? Ahh! Am I going to be able to knit with it or not? We shall see. We shall see.
Alrighty, back to the needles.
