lessons, lockers, love

What I've learned lately:
  • Don't leave all your laundry until the last minute.
  • Laundry takes up more space when it's clean. (Alyssa claims that this is because it's all "fluffed")
  • Dressing warmly is worth the humiliation of people saying, "you look cold." No, silly. I look warm. That's the point of the hat and scarf.
Yesterday I reorganized my music lockers. It's amazing. And I figured out how old my oldest hymnals are. I have five really old ones, one or two medium oldish ones, and then a bunch from the 60s-70s era. My oldest is from 1885, then I think the order goes 1909, 1911, 1924, 1926. Sweet!
Anyhow, I put all my hymnals in one locker, plus the music I'm currently working on, and the music I'm not working on went into my other locker, with my sweater, pants (in case I'm wearing a skirt and want to practice organ), shrug, cheetos, and extra scarf. I'll be keeping my practicing gloves in my main locker. Yay organization. Yay cheetos.

Oh, and yesterday I found that I have this amazingly awesomely sweet arrangement of "Precious Lord" in this book of hymns that I have. (Not a hymnal. A book of hymns. There's a difference. It's mostly country/gospel awesomeness stuff, anyway.) So I was like, oh, I haven't played this yet, and started to play through it. Then I played through it again. Then I warmed-up to practice voice, just so I could sing it and get the high note. It's amazingly awesome. It's got this note... thing... with... argh! Music is so hard to describe in text!!! Well, let's just say that it's amazingly awesome gospelliness and I released my inner gospel singer. : )

Have a happy Thursday!
