back on campus

So. I'm back from break. I'm also exhausted, stressed, and really really really busy.

I got my violet back. (Whose name I can never remember how to spell.) He had a good break, spending time with a new friend on a windowsill on the non-direct-sunlight side of the house of one of my professors. He's grown a lot, according to my professor because he was encouraged by his new big brother.

I bought fun new shoes at Walmart today. Well, not necessarily all that fun, but they're close-toed and look good with a skirt and that's all that matters.

And WHAT UP with batteries being so expensive. Seriously.

I emailed my voice professor my list of questions for her last night. When I saw her in the hall today she said, "wow. You've been thinking a lot." Heh. Yes, yes I have. According to mom, it's because I'm a college student. I like to blame it on long layovers.

The worst thing that could happen to a knitter has happened to me. And I'm not talking about the wrist brace making it hard to knit. I mean that I need more yarn, of a certain brand and color. And, fortunately, it is dye-lot-free yarn, so that's not a problem. The problem? The worst problem ever? Walmart (the only place to get yarn in Wawablah) has stopped carrying that yarn. AAAAaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What do I do? What do I do? WhatdoIdo???

I'm switching to euphonium in band after our next concert (which is this weekend). That should be fun.

I also bought Short Circuit on DVD.

I  need to clean my room, get more less sleep, and practice for my voice lesson tomorrow.

And I got a package from Swiss Colony from my mom today. Yay for black cat chocolate truffles of amazing joyful joyness.

Uhm... what else? Oh, look for a new post in the Musings section sometime this week. I'm working on an entry on religious tolerance.

Your panda joke of the day:
Why was the little cub so spoiled?

You're welcome for the truffles.

The violet's name is Siniy.

What color Simply Soft do you need, or should I guess? (You can't be out of blue and tan already!)

Why was the little cub so spoiled?

There used to be a little sewing shop down on main street with all sorts of awesome yarn and stuff...did they close or stop carrying yarn or is it just undiscovered?
