I was sitting by myself in my preferred metro riding spot: second row back, right side, by the window. And after two or so stops (during which I cried 'cause I was leaving DC for the last time and had just said goodbye to people) this guy gets on and sits next to me. Now, there are a bunch of empty rows, so he didn't have to sit next to me, he could have sat by himself (which is normal metro procedure). And he put his upper arm on top of mine pinning me down.
He was wearing a sleeveless shirt, and so was I, so it was skin against skin, and after a few minutes (we got stuck in the tunnel waiting for the train ahead of us to go) he shifted so he was pushing my arm against me even more. And I could see in the glass at the end of the car our reflection and he had his head turned away from me and was staring out the windows on the other side of the car. The whole time, just staring out that window.
And just kept pushing down against me. And my heart was racing and pounding and I could feel it in my chest and I'm sure he could tell how scared I was.
and so when we finally got to the next stop, I said it was mine and I went to get up, and he made me basically climb over him. He shifted so there was some room to get by, but his legs were spread apart. And while I don't think he actually touched me, his hand basically guided my hips out. And I stood waiting for the doors to open holding onto the post thing trying to will my whole body to stop shaking and to keep from crying in front of this guy. When I got off the train I called my sister and made it look like I was leaving (got all the way up the escalator to the gates but didn't leave the station) and watched to make sure he didn't follow me off. And then I just waited for the next train.
I was so scared. And I just kept thinking about Law & Order and I was sure that when I went to get up he'd hold me down or something. And I could have shifted closer to the window, but I was afraid he'd shift so I'd be squished. I felt used. And I kept trying to make eye contact with the two guys sitting across the car from us, but it didn't work.
So Bear called mom and mom and dad took me out to ice cream and then I went to bed shortly after I got home.
It's my last day: busy, busy!
