I finally made it to the zoo today!! And it's free! Like, you just walk in. It was awesome. I spent quite a bit (okay, all) of my time with the pandas, and got to see all three of them. Although they were napping quite a lot. I want to be a panda. Seriously. Coolest life ever. Except the jerks who are all like, "Hey, wake up!" Come on, I'm sleepin' here! At least I'm sleepin' where you can see me unlike those ungrateful red pandas. Seriously.
I got some pretty neat stuff at the gift shop:
A book called "A Black Eye Isn't the End of the World: The Panda Principles: Simple Thoughts for a Better Life" which is like the Blue Day Book, in that it's all pictures with captions on life lessons you can learn from pandas. Sweet.
Panda Berry Tea, which smells amazing (strawberry, cherry, black tea, and honey)
and an amazing box that I take pictures of and post later.
And then I went out to lunch with Robin, Meredith, and Rebecca, and we talked women in ministry. Cool stuff.
And then on the way home I ordered my glasses, and called Mauer and had them fax my prescription, so I should have new glasses soon (yayayayayay!!!!). It's been getting tough, not being able to read stuff.
I am getting so psyched for camp. But first I have to write a sermon. But first I might practice my panda-ninity.
(Oh, and you can email me for the address of the album with the rest of the pictures from the zoo.)
