We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son he is worshiped and glorified.
He has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic church.
We acknowledge on Baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrectgion of thd ead, and the life of the world to come.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life.
I love Pentecost. It's my total favorite church holiday ever. The church's one foundation is Jesus Christ her lord. Lord, send forth your Spirit, and renew the face of the earth. Let us talents and tongues employ. Spirit of gentleness, spirit of restlessness, from the bondage of sorrows the captives dream dreams. You whispered in silence, and with bold new decisions, your people arise. Spirit of God, unleashed on earth, you came in power, your Church was born.
Oh yeah, I like Pentecost. Theoretically, one should probably not have a facorite corner of the trinity... but a musician theoretically doesn't have a favorite note, and yet we do. Or at least i do. Db is just... the best. Not C#. Db. And my favorite of the trinity is the Holy Spirit. I mean, I'm fond of God and Jesus, but the Holy Spirit is so visibly active.
The church is where religion hits the road, and the Holy Spirit is our all-weather, hydroplan-reducing, off-road capable tires, without which we would damage our rims and whole system every time.
Listen! Listen. God, the Holy Spirit, is calling.
So how will I celebrate Pentecost? Well, I won't play with fires since I don't really want to burn down the house. But I may make dinner for my mom, mow the lawn, do laundry, pack for Tuesday, and do some homework.
What's that? You want to know how that's different than what I would have done anyway? :) that's the point. To embrace the Holy Spirit is to embrace life. To celebrate the Holy Spirit is to celebrate life. Oh, and I'm going to make chocolate mint chip pudding.
Come, come, come Holy Spirit, come!
Until the next

Thank you for the reminder on what Pentecost means, I got rather wrapped up in the whole graduation thing, and the churches celebration took a back seat to the thrill of freedom that a diploma brings.
And now I have half a dozen hymns stuck in my head, thank you!
Ich vermisse dich,
